I have created custom wood accents and finishes for the two vintage vehicles that my wife and I own. They are also both daily drivers, an active work truck and family wagon. We have owned the truck since 2016, and the Squareback since 2020.
During the pandemic shutdown I took some of the spare time to create wood knobs, arm rests, coat hooks, and other interior elements from scraps of local figured Desert Rosewood to replace to plastic stock parts. An opportunity came up to acquire a stack of sequence cut wide plank rainbow Acacia at Wine Glass Bar sawmill and I scooped it up to finish out the cargo area with tongue and groove flooring.
