I've decided to use one of my favorite slabs to finish into a show piece of a table featuring old growth Redwood lace burl in a giant 34x72x25" large size piece rectangular table top with some live edge nooks. The base is still in progress but Ive processed a large reclaimed urban Red Gum Eucalyptus slab thats over 4.5" thick with beautiful curly woodgrain and complimentary red to the table top. Red Gum is extremely heavy and hard wood which makes it the perfect material for a pedestal table base.
