I created this live edge dining table top from a bookmatched pair of Desert Ash reclaimed urban wood from Wine Glass Bar sawmill. The live edges were torched for a sugi ban blackened and burnished finish. The top was finished in a first of its kind ombre finish achieved with pigments blended with natural food safe oils and hardwax. This was achieved by blending handmade tinted oil for a ceruse that colors the deep grain lines from titanium white, up in smoke gray, and black.
